Harker's Barns

Over ten years ago I did a book about centenarians with photographer Paul Boyer. I loved the dance between the visual and verbal then and I loved it again when Holly Carver from the University of Iowa Press asked me to write several prose-poem-like vignettes to accompany some of Michael Harker’s photographs of old barns that appear in this book.
