the Funeral Parlor

Long-poem.

This is a long-poem, hand-sewn and letter-press printed in two colors by Scott Walker, back in 1976, when Graywolf Press’s address was still PO Box 142, Port Townsend, Washington. The poem imagines the funeral of my father, many many years before he died. I quote the opening lines below.
